Giant Robot x ‘Umi Toys Hawai’i glow in the dark Manapua pin singles and sets

Giant Robot and ‘Umi Toys Hawai’i follow up their soy sauce pin sets with these two Manapua pins. Manapua is the local Hawai’i (not traditional ‘ōlelo Hawai’i) term for what many know as char siu bao or chinese bbq pork buns. Origins of the word “manapua” comes from two possible phrases: mea ‘ono pua’a (pork snack or pastry) or mauna pua’a (pork mountain). Either way Hawai’i people love them. They usually come either steamed or baked. This glow in the dark pin set has both styles represented. 1” soft enamel pins designed by Eric Nakamura and produced by Giant Robot.
